Welcome Danielle Decker to the seca Body Composition Team!

Blog

At seca, we know that strong clinical education is key to helping healthcare professionals successfully integrate body composition analysis into their practice. That’s why I’m thrilled to welcome Danielle Decker as our new Clinical Education Manager! She brings a unique blend of experience in nutrition, instructional design, and program management, all of which will strengthen our efforts to educate and support our customers.

Danielle comes to us from the Lowcountry Food Bank, where she played a pivotal role as the Community Health & Nutrition Manager. She was instrumental in leading the Food as Medicine program, working alongside clinicians to bridge the gap between healthcare and nutrition by improving food access for patients experiencing food insecurity. She also took the lead in designing online training programs that set the foundation for educating new partners, ensuring that training was both engaging and effective. Her ability to make learning accessible and impactful aligns perfectly with our mission at seca, and we’re excited to see the contributions she’ll bring to our team.

In her new role, Danielle will be focused on educating healthcare professionals about bioimpedance analysis (BIA) and how to apply body composition data in clinical practice. She’ll be responsible for developing training materials, leading both individualized and group education sessions, and helping clinicians interpret and implement BIA results effectively. As a key link between our seca mBCA Team and customers, she’ll provide ongoing support, after-sales education, and best practices for integrating seca solutions into clinical workflows. You’ll also see her at conferences, engaging with healthcare professionals at our exhibit booth, attending continuing education sessions, and keeping seca at the forefront of body composition science.

Beyond her professional expertise, Danielle brings an incredible energy to our team. As she shared in her own words:

“I’m excited to introduce myself! My name is Danielle Decker, and I’m thrilled to be joining as the Clinical Education Manager. I have a background in nutrition, instructional design, and program management, with a passion for making education engaging.

Previously, I worked as the Community Health & Nutrition Manager at a food bank, where I led our Food as Medicine program, collaborating with clinicians to improve food access for patients experiencing food insecurity. In that role, I also developed online training programs that became the baseline education for all new partners, ensuring consistent and effective training across the network. I enjoy creating effective, engaging learning experiences that make it easy for professionals to adopt new tools and technologies.

Outside of work, I love being outdoors—whether it’s running, hiking, or camping. I’ve completed a couple of half marathons and am working toward running my first full marathon this year. I also enjoy cooking, experimenting with new recipes, and baking.

I’m married and a proud mom to a 20-year-old at the University of South Carolina—Go Gamecocks! At home, we have two dogs, a cat, and six chickens.

I’m looking forward to connecting with everyone as I start in this role!”

Danielle’s enthusiasm for education and ability to create meaningful, engaging learning experiences make her a fantastic addition to the seca family. I’m excited to see how her expertise and fresh perspective will enhance our clinical education efforts. Please join me in giving Danielle a warm welcome—we’re so lucky to have her on board!

Stay tuned for upcoming educational initiatives and opportunities to connect with Danielle at future seca events!
